Original artwork description
This is a painting of Corfe Castle in Dorset. I stumbled on this amazing view of Corfe Castle in the far distance . The sun was just catching the building. I was lucky I had my sketch book and maade on the spot sketches showing the colour of the Dorset hills and Corfe Castle nestling in the distance. It was rapid preliminary painting which I finished off the oil painting when I got home from my colour sketches and references. It is strung on the back and ready to hang.
