A figure descends the steps of an underground station, where one of London's distinctive Tube trains waits at the platform. Viewed through one of the station's convex mirrors, this ordinary scene is given a distorted and dream-like quality.
To achieve the ethereal nature of this piece, the oil paint was applied using a palette knife rather than a brush, enhancing the sense of texture and light within the scene.
