Anybody who has walked the coast path near Lamorna in south-west Cornwall or on the beach from Rock to Daymer in the north will recognise the distinctive elements.
The raised pattern shows the natural bronze in which the sculpture is cast. The pattern is mirrored so appears to pass through the blade. It stands on an oak base.
It is a celebration, memory and visual record for the artist. Every viewer will have their own experiences to influence their reactions..
