Original artwork description
This is one of a series of female portraits painted on 100 x 50 cm canvas. I find this size very elegant. In addition, it will fit into a small interior space, despite its large size.
In each of the portraits - a woman in her various manifestations, in different archetypes. The main tool for expressing emotions is color for me. I like to experiment with color. In order to achieve a certain state on the canvas, I sometimes look for the color or shade I need for a long time. And I deliberately omit the details of the portrait so that the viewer can become an accomplice in the creative process, and not a passive contemplator. Often people recognize themselves or acquaintances in portraits.
The side parts of the picture are wide 3.8 cm and painted, so the work does not need a frame.
