This artwork belongs to a series called "Natural Flags", which are landscapes inspired by the work of landscapers, they can also be from trips I have made, or by photographs of places I have seen in magazines, on the internet, reading, listening to music. ..
This flag or landscape of more or less abstract shapes has a white background because it represents a sunrise.
The artwork shows us a corner of a small pond that exists in reality. It is a pond at ground level, with a stone back wall. It is located in an old stone quarry where today there is a family pool. This pond is usually full of fish and there are a couple of large stones inside and some papyri. On the stone wall there is a figure of a nymph and there are also some little dwarfs doing various jobs. There is a great relationship between the figure of the nymph and the shape of the pond, and it is what gives meaning to this artwork.
No frame needed, but recommended.
