The Parisian Pulse series
In La Rivière, I was inspired by Aristide Maillol’s famous sculpture in the Tuileries Gardens, Paris — a figure captured in the gentle flow of life and light. The work reflects the tension between motion and stillness, echoing the rhythm of the city, where the gardens remain timeless while the crowds move around them.
Through expressive lines and delicate strokes, the drawing evokes the interplay of form, space, and presence — a meditation on the fleeting yet eternal moments that define both the sculpture and the life of Paris.
The painting can be shipped in a roll or envelope.
