- Kungsviken (King's Bay)
Original artwork description
This small painting was done plein air, on the Swedish West Coast, a few kilometers outside Gothenburg.
The rounded, soft rocks of the bay are very characteristic for this side of the coast. They have been eroded by the glaciers in the last Ice Age (starting ca 100 000 years ago and ending ca 13000 years ago). The wind and sea continue to erode these rocks giving them their typical round shape.
Painted alla prima, using high-quality oil paints on a gessoed canvas panel.
Signed on the front and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
IMPORTANT! Please note, the secondary image in the frame is shown only as a suggestion on how it would look framed and in context. This artwork is sold unframed.
The painting is carefully packed, sandwiched between two cardboard sheets and layered with bubble wrap to protect them and ensure the painting will reach you safely.
World Wide shipping takes around 10 days to arrive, depending on the destination.
The displayed image size of the painting can vary from the actual size.
If you have any questions about, for instance, a tailor-made order or discount when purchasing more than one painting please send me a message. I’ll be happy to answer all your questions.
