I was completing this painting one lovely afternoon, when the tragic news broke of the Death of the well known and loved American Basketball Player, Kobe Bryant. All of Southern California was particularly stunned, and as I had greatly admired this man, I named the painting as a tribute to him. The edges of the canvas are painted so it can be hung, unframed.
