The painting captures the very moment when light touches the soul – the threshold where darkness is left behind, and faith is born anew. The woman, Elina, turns instinctively toward the light, like sunflowers reaching for the sun. She embodies awakening, optimism, and inner peace. Elina does not seek the sun – she is its source. Serenity and quiet strength meet upon her face, her gestures radiate the power of inner renewal. In “Kissed by the Sun”, she represents that sacred instant when light no longer comes from outside – it awakens within and fills the soul with trust once more.
