Original artwork description
Kilchurn Castle in the Trossachs of Scotland nestles on the banks of pretty Loch Awe. I was there in May 2025 on holiday with some friends and the castle ruins were just calling out to be painted. So I did just that, it would be rude not to. The Jackson's canvas is 30cm by 45cm by 2cm and it is painted in Winsor and Newton Alkyd Oils. The castle changed in its atmosphere each day, never the same on any two days. It was weirdly beautiful.
