Original artwork description
Just Breathe is a powerful large‑scale original painting created through an intuitive, physical process. This nature inspired work unfolded naturally as I focused entirely on gesture, color, and the present moment. What emerged is a reduced, almost monochrome composition that carries a meditative sense of calm and spaciousness.
Two dominant color fields — a deep, layered blue and a vibrant, energetic green — meet across a raw canvas in creamy white. The open ground enhances the sense of depth and movement, while the textured strokes evoke impressions of water, shoreline, and open meadows without depicting them directly. Despite its minimalist language, the painting radiates a quiet yet powerful energy, like a breath that fills and clears the body.
I chose to leave the artwork in this minimalist state to preserve the immense tranquility, strength, and grounding it holds — a sense of replenishment I did not want to paint over.
