Auvergne landscape, France.

The view from my studio overlooking the Loire gorges and the Monts du Velay is an endless source of inspiration. Here, I wanted to capture the moment the mist rolls into the valley, transforming the peaks into a dark archipelago beneath a sky filled with soft hues. What I try to convey on the canvas is not the stillness of the mountain, but the impermanence of things. To paint the same horizon a hundred times is to accept that it is never the same. Every passing cloud, every blanket of fog stretching over the Loire reshapes the world, giving me a renewed urge to paint every day.

I hope this painting will offer its future collector a true space to breathe, a window for contemplation to invite the tranquility of these misty mornings into their own home.

The white finish on the sides of the canvas allows it to be hung without a frame, should you wish.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
