2020 was a hard year on everyone. Pandemic, public unrest, political storms, Hurricanes. It took a lot of energy to redirect the negative and keep painting something worth looking at. This is one of those paintings where I did meditation, walked the dog, smelled the flowers, unplugged from the outside world to get through it. It is bright and fun but full of high intensity energy. Like a storm at sea where you can see the other side of the squall and you just revel in the beauty of its power and hang on! You make grilled sandwiches instead of plain old cold cuts because the evry little detail you add to make life more pleasant counts. The details in this painting are a lot like that. You cannot see the sides in the painting but they are fun and uplifting.
