Indianapolis 500 winner, 2015
Acrylic, 420mm x 594mm
Acrylic painting celebrating Juan Pablo Montoya’s second Indianapolis 500 win in 2015. The thrilling race saw multiple passes for the lead over the final 15 laps, with Montoya narrowly beating Team Penske teammate Will Power to the flag. This was a hugely popular victory for the Columbian, who had generated a worldwide following, after spending many successful years in Formula One. The victory was even more impressive, as it was achieved 15 years after his first Indy 500 win.
