Is there anywhere quite as magical as Jerusalem's Old City? The market is infused with light, casting a line of whiteness through the alley. The air is thick with spice, cardamon and turmeric, ground coffee and pepper. The call to prayer rings out, cutting through the afternoon. It is time to explore, to browse. A place of mystery, dark alleys and rusty blue gates to houses that seem closed. This work is full of colour and light, and it makes a perfect souvenir of the Holy City. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
