Bathed in the golden haze of a fading summer day, a port city——buildings, a pier, blue tugboats dreaming at the dock. A street musician in a red Hawaiian shirt leans into his guitar, each note like sunlight blues. His only audience, a dog at his feet—an impressionistic jazz duet. The day drifts out like the last line of a song.
