Landscape of Auvergne, in the very heart of France. A view from my studio windows.
I focused here on a fragment of the landscape. I attempt to convey the atmosphere of this winter's afternoon.
This landscape is a plein air painting, painted “alla prima” in one single sitting, with lively and spontaneous brushstrokes to attempt to capture the momentary effects of sunlight , the movement and the atmosphere.

READY TO HANG: a simple painted stick of pine wood hides the sides. Color: dark brown.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
