In this painting I explore how color and light interact through transparent materials. The crystal bowl filled with deep red jam contrasts with the soft reflections on the apples, creating a play of warmth and coolness.

I work with acrylic in layers — combining fluid, translucent washes with dense, textured brushstrokes. This allows me to capture both the physical structure of glass and fruit, and the fleeting sensations of light.

“Jam and Apples” continues my series of expressive still lifes where everyday objects become a study of rhythm, contrast, and emotion.
