- I've Got a Stain on My Shirt
Original artwork description
Bold and textured abstract that was done with acrylic and mixed media on heavy watercolor paper in shades of violet, pink, blue, green. It is sealed with a satin protective finish, so it can be easily applied to a canvas or board for framing without glass....or, matted and framed under glass.
It is signed on the front and back along with the title and date created.
I name my pieces by what occurred while painting the piece. What moved me, what struggles had to be overcome, my mood, my train of thought, what the piece reminded me of, sometimes a song that was on and the beat moved me or the lyrics influenced me in some way. Some pieces are named clearly with a bit of humor. I never intentionally start out a painting saying “I’m going to do this, or I’m going to do that”. All of my pieces morph into something that is totally surprising and unexpected.
Materials used:
acrylic, gesso, charcoal, marker, graphite, pencil, paper
