Original artwork description
As soon as I started painting this the lyrics from Johnny Nash's song came flooding through my brain! Here they are..
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I've been prayin' for
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
Look all around, there's nothin' but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin' but blue skies
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
I think it's because we have had a few bright sunshiny days here is South Wales! What a difference this makes to the soul after a long drab winter :)
Painted on a long 47" x 15.5" canvas
edges painted in wrap around colours
strung on the back, ready to hang
signed on the front
also dated, titled and signed on the back
varnished for protection
