Original artwork description

This series is inspired by oceans, planets, galaxies, stars maps, organic forms and sacred geometry. This extra large piece in the series is my entry to the Octopus Energy Art Prize competition.

This painting represents the earth, all our our water and our ice, and the effect our increasing carbon dioxide and reliance on dirty fossil fuels has on our planet. Extreme weather and the loss of polar ice caps are presenting planetary issues humans have never faced before. Now is the time to act.

Galaxies are formed, some of us get lost, maybe this is our star map home?

This piece is painted with acrylic inks and white ink which are vibrant and colourfast, onto cold pressed watercolour paper which has a lovely texture to it.
