Title: It Came and Played Once More

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Dimensions: 36" x 48"
Series: Of and Being
Year: 2025

Description:
It Came and Played Once More is an abstract reflection on memory’s return — the soft echo of something once felt, arriving again in a new form. Gentle layers of gray, pale pink, and muted green move across the surface, their lightness interrupted by the grounding rhythm of black vertical lines. The brushwork feels both deliberate and spontaneous, a play between control and surrender.

This painting is part of my ongoing Of & Being series, where I explore the fluid relationships between presence, movement, and emotion. Each work begins as an intuitive gesture — color leading the way, structure emerging only as needed. Here, I was drawn to the interplay of softness and assertion, how something fleeting can still leave a lasting mark.

Artist Statement:
My work is rooted in intuition and process — an excavation of memory, emotion, and the physical act of painting. I see abstraction as a language of connection, where the visible and invisible coexist. Through layered gestures, I seek to translate the rhythm of thought and the quiet of being into form and color.
