This is one of a series of large paintings I have made based on this view of the May Island which is located in the Forth Estuary. Seen here from near Anstruther in Fife the view incorporates wild flowers growing along the edge of the road. I liked the contrast with the wildness and movement of the wild flowers and the certainty of the horizon.
This painting is quite large and will make a strong statement in most rooms where it is hung.
