The slender forms of the irises standing tall in the botanic garden provided inspiration for this screen print.

One colour is printed at a time by hand using a squeegee which pushes ink through the screen onto the paper. For each new colour the artist makes a separate drawing/stencil and different coloured layers are built up to create a design.

Hand pulled screenprint using acrylic screenprinking inks onto paper
