This series of portraits explores the quiet, often unspoken experience of aging and visibility among women. Inspired by an overheard conversation—“I feel invisible at 70 years”—the work reflects on how identity can feel both rich and diminished at the same time.

Each figure is composed of layered colors, patterns, and textures, representing a lifetime of memories, roles, and personal history. These vibrant inner elements suggest complexity, individuality, and enduring vitality. Yet, they are partially obscured by bold, dark forms that dominate the composition, symbolizing the social invisibility that can accompany aging—particularly for women.

The repetition of similar forms across the three portraits emphasizes that this is not an isolated experience, but a shared one. While each figure remains distinct, they are unified by a common sense of being overlooked or unseen.
