As an artist I am always trying to look deeper into myself, to try feel and understand what the person I'm painting may have going on inside them at this time. It is not only a likeness I am capturing, it is an emotion, spirit, what makes a person who they are. While creating this painting everything was there in the models eyes waiting for me to see, waiting for me to go inside myself and open up my emotions. Always an eye opening journey for me.
