Into the illusion (2026)Oil painting by Lohmuller Adina

120 x 100 x 1cm (unframed)

£3,492.4

In this painting, I’m telling our story. The story of all of us — blinded, silenced, and confined like fish in an aquarium by the digital era. We’re all reaching out to whatever glows, chasing that tiny spark of joy when a notification appears, hoping that this means we matter to someone, somewhere.
In a world that often feels empty of meaning, we struggle to find our place. Every day, almost automatically, we cling to small, fragile goals of happiness: a like on Facebook, a heart on Instagram. It’s a sad fate. We’re trapped, yet addicted to this illusion of life. We keep chasing more virtual friends, more followers — while, in reality, we grow more and more alone.
