Original artwork description

From the series Intervals

This work continues my ongoing exploration of geometric rhythm and structure. Repeated patterns form a visual framework within which a single figure is introduced, creating a moment of pause and contrast without disrupting the underlying order.

The bird is drawn using simplified, architectural lines, echoing the geometry of the background while remaining distinct from it. Rather than illustrating a narrative, the piece focuses on balance, spacing and the tension between repetition and presence.

Intervals builds on ideas first explored in my earlier Origami series, extending them toward a more retsrained and contemplative language, where form, colour and placement define the experience.

Materials used:

Acrylic and ink on 250mg heavyweight paper.
