Original artwork description:

This diptych is one of the series- Ordinary people, Extraordinary lives
The series highlighted how the ordinary, simple people we meet every day are important in our day to day lives and how they enrich our lives in many ways.

First painting is about the fishermen, returning for the day when the sun sets.
When we visited Karwar's Devbhag Beach (in the state of Karnataka, along the Western coast of India) I observed the fishermen calling it a day and pulling their fishing boat ashore. It stayed in my mind's eye over the years, the golden sunset, the boat being pulled on to the shore by the weary fishermen. And thus, this painting was created from my memory.

Second one is about the hardworking farmers of the non-mechanized farms. Hills and fields of Indian countryside under the bright sun where farmers are busy in the fields under the hot sun!
