Flowers have long been a powerful reward signal in the world in which humans evolved. In spring, they signaled the end of winter’s hunger and the promise of abundance ahead. Even today, a bouquet or a meadow in bloom can trigger the release of dopamine, evoking joy, renewal, and optimism.
