‘IN SACHARISSA’S NAME’. is an acrylic painting 135cmsx75cms on stretched canvas, unframed and stretched over a wooden frame with steel corner braces. It is an energetic, abstract painting expressing a sense of freedom through the phenomena of light and colour. The brilliances of sunlight on sea , the ribbing and powder of the sandy shore, the glint and gleam and glare of the beach at Molyvos are realised in washed blues and purples , the flashes of pink , the sharp saturation of yellows , the orange parallels and elsewhere the greens and blues of the olive trees …an explosive chromatic effulgence of flowers …memories of a special location.
The painting is shipped in a robust custom made cardboard crate (same as those used to transport large screens). The painting is bubble wrapped to protect the canvas. Further wrapping is made with corrugated card. A wooden frame is placed inside the cardboard crate to preserve the structural strength of the packaging. Each painting is insured to its sale value.
