Original artwork description
This painting was inspired by a recent trip to the Art Institute of Chicago to see some of my favorite Impressionist paintings. I love to stand in front of paintings and take in their colors and brush strokes. I came home inspired by the looseness of the brushstrokes and the richness of the colors. When I stepped foot into my studio feeling refreshed, inspired and ready to paint, “Impressionists Garden” was the result. This painting is an ode to the French Impressionists and the gift they have left this world through their art.
This painting is full of lush pinks, deep reds, bronze greens, beige neutrals, yellow, orange, white and deep violet. The looseness of the brushstrokes create movement and depth in the composition.
