Original artwork description
Painted during the strictest lock-down measures, when we were not permitted to go more than 1km from home. This was painted more or less from my doorstep. A footpath that leads out through fields and woods, with nothing to tie it to the modern world. I was very appreciative to have these surroundings at the time, and still appreciate it to this day.
Painted alla prima on an Italian canvas attached to a rigid wooden board for additional support. The painting has been left to dry for many months before varnishing.

Oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois)
