I'm going to look (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Margarita Ivanova

The theoretical basis of my artistic practice is metamodernism and new sincerity, and I define the main method by the term "fluctuation". In my works I explore the fluctuations between the inner and the outer, the personal and the collective, between the system of the community and the system of the subject, as well as the ways of interpenetration and fragmentation of images. The work is part of the series "Hide and Seek", in which I raise questions about voluntary mimicry, constantly haunting our lives. We are forced to play roles and integrate into current realities, but still there is always something that remains hidden inside us.
The work is made on premium quality linen canvas in the author's technique using acrylic, oil and watercolor pencils. It is varnished. The ends are a continuation of the painting.
