In this piece, I wanted to capture a sense of calm, quiet reflection, and a touch of romance. I experimented with genres, blending elements of impressionism and abstraction to create something harmonious yet unexpected.
The silhouette of the boat is intentionally minimal — simplified, without details — leaving space for emotion rather than precision. In contrast, the reflection in the water is vivid and expressive, with glowing highlights and smooth transitions that bring a sense of movement and depth. The sea feels alive, soft, and ever-changing, like a passing mood at dawn.
I worked entirely with a palette knife, which adds texture and energy to the surface. This painting is about inner stillness — a quiet world that gently mirrors what lies beneath.
