This portrait is inspired by a great painting I saw during my visit to "Palazzo Reale" in Naples, Italy. The original painting is by a Russian artist if I remember well, dated 1750 circa. In Italy we are so used to be surrounded by beauty that often we miss things: I have been there in Palazzo Reale tens of time ... and I saw this painting just few weeks ago. The original painting portray two boys and I decided to focus my version just on one of them. I love the eye of the boy lost in dreams and I left the hand of the other fisherman on his shoulder, like he is trying to take him back to reality.
Original title "I pescatorelli" or in english The young fishermen.⠀
