I wouldn't say I'm a religious person, rather the opposite. But in difficult moments of life, I remember a few old prayers or sit down to meditate. That's probably why I put this Unicorn in the lotus pose in the middle of the rock garden. The garden I've dreamed of for so long, but which I will likely never have, due to the abundance of cats who have grown to love my garden. Behind the Unicorn monk's back you can see the sanctuary on the mountain, which may look a bit naive, but.... good things are usually naive and simple.
The artwork continues my series of drawings dedicated to Unicorns - Dreamers, Visionaries, Explorers. Those who change our everyday reality.
This is a one-of-a-kind drawing made by me in gouache and colored pencils on high quality paper (260 gsm-universal, neutral ph. Acid-free). The drawing was fixed with professional spray varnish for gouache drawings for preservation. The image is signed by hand on the front side. Not framed.
