- I REVEAL IT
Original artwork description
“I envy those who duplicate reality without the burden of details.
Anonymous Quote
Reality is detailed, true essence does not need it…
With this work, I want to interpret the oppression that is reiterated against women. The inspiration for the image refers to women in general, and that's why I used a veil, lace, a pale complexion, blond locks… I would say a Westernized woman, but one who embraces an Eastern culture in that she wears a veil, a veil that leaves locks of hair free, showing their color and softness… I would therefore say that she wears an imposed constraint, but one that is nevertheless overcome by the true essence, by the desire and longing for freedom… In this context, we see the shadow cast by an enormous mass of hair, as enormous is the constant desire for redemption to which the woman is subjected… We also notice the bees fluttering with the shadows of butterflies… The bees, ugly, annoying, but necessary to the natural ecosystem, are in truth and in importance, beautiful as butterflies…
