Original artwork description:

We live in times where it is more important to have the flashiest car or the most expensive clothes, money in the bank and we seem to forget about our health. Stressing yourself out working more and more so you can buy that new in trend gadget. We will pay for the cheapest low quality foods and have money in the back instead for all the things we do not need. But what is money in the bank and all these materialistic things when you are too sick to enjoy your life. Most people nowadays have mental health issues and food plays a massive part in that.

From my experience, when you and your brain are healthy, you realise that all this stuff doesn’t matter. It’s not who you are. You are not your car you are not your designer clothes, you are you, and you need to look after you before it’s too late.

My father having a heart attack and being diagnosed with FH has made us think more about life. It’s sad that this happens only when something bad happens. We are so lucky he is still here, he is turning things around and taking better care of his health and he feels much better for it.

Stress is bad for the heart and your health in general. I painted my heart in blue because it has a very calming effect on you and thus reduces the stress you feel in everyday life.

Hang this in your home to remind you to take better care of yourself, that all these materialistic things do not matter and strive for a life with the least amount of stress possible, even if that mean going to a lower paying job or moving to a small house.

What is life if you are not here to enjoy it.
