I love hummingbirds because they can fly like Peter Pan, in all directions, even upside down and backwards. This painting represents the movement, colors, and energy of a ruby-throated hummingbird.
Rhythmic dots depict the staccato of vibrational sound and the whir of fleeting movements. Pools of color are pulled in from the outer edges; the surroundings appear to blend and integrate with the blur of the bird.
