'Hubkiv Castle'
Hubkiv Castle was built in the 15th century. At that time, it was the most fortified structure in the Volyn region. Four corner towers, walls with loopholes, entrance gates, and a drawbridge created a huge fortification system. It was destroyed first by Tatars, then Cossacks during the rebellion in 1596, and finally during the Northern War in 1708. Then it finally turned into ruins. Since then, the castle has not been rebuilt.
Size 15 x 12 inches (39 x 30 cm).
This castle is located in Hubkin village near the Sluch river in the Rivne region in Ukraine.
