For my first two paintings of 2024, I wanted to concentrate on color and joy. I focused on the simplicity of what was around me, a variegated houseplant on a travertine table in my studio. A simple still life that allowed me to learn more about how to express myself through color and oils. I'm hoping this painting will bring viewers joy too and celebrate with me the maximalism of this artist's brain.
