This painting was created from life during the All-Ukrainian Plein Air dedicated to the memory of the renowned Ukrainian artist Opanas Zalyvakha.

The artwork depicts the House of the Molfar, located in the Hutsul Land Ethno Park in Bukovel. Surrounded by majestic Carpathian spruce trees, the traditional wooden house radiates a sense of mystery and quiet wisdom. According to Hutsul tradition, a molfar is a person deeply connected with nature, ancient knowledge, and the spiritual world.

Painting this place en plein air allowed me to capture not only its authentic architecture but also the unique atmosphere of the Carpathian Mountains—where history, folklore, and nature exist in perfect harmony. Through rich textures and expressive brushstrokes, I sought to convey the peaceful spirit of this remarkable place and invite the viewer into the timeless world of Hutsul culture.
