HopScotch (2023) is a piece made of pastels, gesso, charcoal and acrylics, on an unprimed cotton canvas.

Part of the Utopia series, this artwork is a special wink to an Irish Guard Officer whom I've grown very fond of over the past months - they walk among us unnoticed, yet their beautiful and elegant world is so different to ours. Comes rain or shine, they fulfil their duties with pride and represent some of the most quintessential aspects of the nation. I remain fascinated by their peculiar lifestyles, which has inspired me greatly in my work this year.
