Original artwork description:

This mixed-media collage explores fragmentation as a form of quiet resilience. Vertical structures rise and interrupt one another across the surface, suggesting architectural remnants, inner frameworks, or psychological boundaries in flux. Layers of black, white, and muted gray are disrupted by restrained passages of ochre and rust, creating moments of warmth within an otherwise austere landscape.

Fine linear markings cut across the composition like traces of thought or memory, while heavier black forms anchor the work with a sense of gravity and tension. The interplay between opacity and transparency creates depth, allowing the viewer to move through the surface rather than simply observe it. Nothing is fully resolved—forms appear, disappear, and reassert themselves, echoing the instability of perception and emotional recall.

Part of the Disjointed Reality series, this work reflects the experience of navigating inner and outer worlds when coherence is interrupted but not lost. It invites slow looking and personal interpretation, offering space for reflection, reconstruction, and quiet recognition.

You will receive a certificate of authenticity on the back of your painting and it is ready to hang with hardware attached. It is sprayed with an archival coating.
