artwork will be SHIPPED IN REINFORCED ENVELOPE; WATERCOLOR on HAND MADE PAPER.. most of my watercolors are done while traveling - or when under the weather. I made this Frida portrait while recovering from flu recently; watercolors are flexible, compact and portable unlike oils. There something rebellious about Frida determinedly smoking in many of her photos; this intimate portrait was interesting due to the backlight and the intent facial expression. Like all my portraits, this was made without drawings and tries to capture the essence rather than details. NEEDS frame for hanging
