Abstracted impressionist landscape.

Abstracted, impressionistic landscape painting.

I have been very immersed in my studio over the past weeks, and have spent a lot of time thinking about light, colour, and what influences colours, changes moods, tones and feeling.
As a landscape artists living in rural Kent, I naturally spend a lot of time outside. I am highlighting my favourite months, and making small homages to them - August is a time of growing crops and overgrown hedgerows. Everything is a bit blowsy, warm and with a tiny hint of September cool in the early mornings.

I use beautiful quality acrylic paints, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.

This 30x30cm landscape painting is unframed. It has white painted edges, and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
