Original artwork description
Late summer on the Isle of Purbeck; the sun is just creeping over the horizon, raking across the fields. It was a lovely light - purple and red streaks in the sky, with the anticipation of another blue-sky day. The fields were scattered with the haybales, each one casting a long shadow across the stubble. I sketched this image quickly and worked from sketches and watercolour studies back in my studio.
This painting is sold with a warm silver frame.
