Artwork description:

This etching shows a view through the fields around Muker in Swaledale, in the Yorkshire Dales. An amazing place to visit in May and June when the wildflower meadows are in full bloom. It is one of the best places to see upland wildflower meadows in the whole of the UK. The Dales farmers cut the fields back late, and this allows the flowers to set seed and keep the cycle of plant and bird and insect life, renewed.

Materials used:

Copper plate, black and Prussian blue etching ink, ferric chloride
