Artist's description:

In this portrait, Hawaii Daydreaming, a woman looks back with pleasure on her trip to Hawaii. She imagines, as well, a world with ever more opportunities to realize her dreams, unfettered by limited gender norms. The painting features vibrant primary colors. Her brightly colored yellow and blue blouse is adorned by a lei of red and pink flowers. Her head and shoulders are painted, against a deep blue background. In style, this is an abstract, figurative painting.
